Hi Folks, Guided some young anglers yesterday morning for smallmouth bass. Water levels were up slightly and off colored. Water temperature was 68 degrees. It was interesting that we did not catch a lot of fish yesterday morning but everyone we hooked was big. I attribute it to the high and off colored water. We fished big primary pools and focused on the slow water and any in stream structure. Drifted 3" Senkos on Red Octopus Hooks that had glitter in the soft plastic. Jumps out a bit more in the off colored water. Anywho, looks like fall is right around the corner and with cool nights water temperature will remain nice after midweeks heat up. Lots of morning fog this time of the year which is nice for keeping the sun off the water longer. I am off to river fish this afternoon. Looks like a nice weekend.
